BEST Halloween party ever: A Stranger Kindness and Sincerity
Sunday, October 30, 2011 @ 6:59 PM

Konbanwa~ mina-san :3 !!!

My gosh, yesterday’s Anime Halloween party was just super awesome~~~!!! X3 Me so glad that the FUN JAMMIES and I decided to attend, and guess what? Mizu-chan and I made new friends too~! :D It was really fun, just hanging out with Yoshi-kun and Akito-kun :3  Then, there was that crazy wild dance party after the whole event…………….. Yoko-chan can get really “wild” when there’s club music nowadays D: Hmm… X3 Too bad that the party had to end so soon!!!

I saw the Twins, Nishiko-kun and Ichiro-kun, as butlers for the party’s maid café.  I didn’t get to buy anything from them because I had already spent money on food D: Gomen ne…demo…Nishiko-kun wa kawaii desu yo :D  I loved that wig >:D (Mizu: ….yoko, why do you like using that EVIL smile?) As for Ichiro-kun, he’s as awesome as usual XD ~~~ I was surprised to see a few other aquaitances as maids or butlers, but I guess I shouldn’t have been since Nishiko-kun was the person in charge, so he was the one who went out to get them.  Hmm… That was a run-on sentence, I think.  Oh well.

You wouldn’t believe it though—that two miraculous events occurred at once!!! While the Boys stayed in the main event room, Mizu-chan and I decided to check out the other maid café/game room that was just across from it.  I thought it’d be a shame to not look around since we kept walking in and out of the place, so we went to go check it out.  (Meanwhile, Sakana-san was being “Yuki” with KFC, who was “Zero”; both of whom are from Vampire Knight.)

Once we got to the other café, I saw that there was this display of miniature anime keychains and figurines, along with rare-edition cards (AKA the discontinued series of Kingdom Hearts trading card game) and little games.  We were just looking around when Mizu, being a die-hard sucker for Kingdom Hearts—spotted the discontinued KH trading card game.  She wanted to buy it but we had spent so much money on food and drinks, we weren’t sure if it was a good idea to go over our tiny budget.  Then, there was this tall guy who overheard our conversation and merely said, “Hey, I can buy that for you.”

I couldn’t believe it! I was so speechless, I was stuck for words.  I’m sure Mizu-chan must’ve felt the same, but only more emotional.  We were both so touched by this kind stranger, and while our bubbly eyes could only water a little bit more when he pulled out the cash, Mizu-chan and him were pretty much…uhh…”You don’t have to buy it”/”No, I want to buy it for you because you wanted it, right?” thingy.  In the end, Stranger #1 won, and Mizu-chan nearly broke down in tears.

Ano...well…as for the second…miracle…

A someone once told me that I was being an awful brat lately, and I guess I deserved to be called a brat—a selfish brat even—for speaking my mind  so bluntly—that I didn’t realize how hurtful my mean words were until it was too late.  I seemed to have been thinking lately how unfair everything seems to be—that while people would like me to be quiet and “cute”, they also tell or pressure me to “speak my mind.” But seriously? It still confuses and tears me up inside when really, I don't even know what's "right" or "wrong" anymore.  The mystery of “trying to find yourself”… Oh well.  I guess I’ll just try to be the best I can be and not care more for what people want me to be.

Anyway, I wanted to get a present for a very important friend from that booth, also.  After the Stranger event, I was going through this unusual box of anime keychains when I came across “Haruhi” and “Mikuru” from the Melachony of Haruhi Suzumiya and cast characters from Sailor Moon as well as Fruits Basket.  Mizu-chan and I got really excited when we were digging through the box—even more so, after finding Final Fantasy X-2 characters (Rikku, Yuna, and Paine!).  Suddenly—out of the blues—Mizu-chan showed me a “Yuki” keychain from the box, a character from Haruhi Suzumiya.  I was really surprised because usually at booths, it’s hard to find so many main characters from the same TV series…  She told me that our friend really likes “Yuki”—other than “Koizumi.”  I can only say that when I picked up a “Yuki”, I asked the salesperson if he accepts “card” (debit card).  He didn’t, so I was really upset.  There wasn’t really an ATM machine nearby and even if there was, I didn’t really want to go over my daily money limit…  Then, again...I really wanted to get the "Yuki"...and the salesperson was packing up to leave...  Demo…this random guy came up to me and said, “I’ll buy it for you.”

I was in awe of this stranger’s kindness toward me ;o; !!! I felt so bad and even after telling him that I didn’t want him to buy it and asking if he was really sure about it—he just said, “You want it, right?” ;o; Uwahhh… >o< It was just…so…  And so, Stranger #2 won, and Yoko-chan lost T^T

….Wahhh…

There was this girl who came up to Mizu and me too, saying, “We do this all the time at cons or anime gatherings.  It’s one of the best things that can ever happen to a person, so we usually buy things for people or just help them out.  It’s a great way to make friends or get to know people, you know?”

…After giving “Yuki” to this important friend, I left the main event room with Mizu-chan.  We both just fell down to our butts, sitting outside of the party, with watering eyes ;o;

Yoko: “M-M-Mizu-chan~ they’re so nice T^T !!! I’m so touched!!! I wanna buy something for someone next time we go to a con!”

Mizu: *sniffles* “Me too! T^T I can’t believe it, that a stranger would just go buy these cards for me! I feel so bad!”

Yoko: ;o; *Eyes start tearing up again* “Wahhhhh….”

But once we began eating some Pocky sticks, I guess our emotional state just sort of withered away…
Overall, the AHP was probably one of the best Anime gatherings I’ve ever attended~~ I had a lot of fun, met many kind people, and made new friends (likeeeee Ami-chan* and Mr. Guitar*!).  Personally, I thought the dude cosplaying as Hetalia’s “America” was a good-looking guy :P and those “Panty” and “Stockings” cosplayers? Awesome~!!! I always thought Mr. Guitar was a really weird guy (I met him before at the previous Anime Party)—but I guess he’s not so weird, after all.  “Weird” as in…hmm…I just never thought he had anything in common with the JAMMIES and me.  I was wrong, this I admit.  No one really recognized my “character” but I didn’t care.  I only wanted to have some fun and have more of a “bonding experience”—than “photo-shooting.”

Then, after everyone headed on home and we did our farewell huggings—and parted ways—I went to go spend the night at Mizu-chan’s house.  I wasn’t supposed to but since the family (biological) weren’t home (and I wasn’t supposed to be home alone, anyways), I was a bit scared to be by myself in such a empty house…that sits in the middle of nowhere.  At night.  So, I left with Mizu-chan and we stayed up, watching Haruhi Suzimiya spin-off episodes and talking to friends online.  (Ano…there was that Nana movie too with all of the hot scenes………….)

I came home today, only to find out that I was going to have to bury two of Otou-san’s birds ;o; ………………………………..I was literally…..uhh….horrified.

...Also, now, I feel bad.... Muuu....Stranger #2...Yuki................. When Stranger #2 bought "Yuki" for me, I was asked if I really, really, REALLY want to give "Yuki" away to the important friend--because it holds so much meaning (Hmm...so, if it's ever sold on eBay...it's now worth more than the original price....) and well............I got it for "free." But~~~the important friend deserves it, because...well...it was intended for them anyway with the sincerity of my apologies. Then again, I don't even know if what I'm saying now makes any more sense than what's not making sense in my head =o=
